Elder Cecil Thompson is a native of Los Angeles who was raised by deeply rooted believers in Jesus Christ. He is a major artistic force in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Elder Cecil is a sought after evangelist, psalmist, worship leader, choir director, arranger and workshop clinician. He accepted the call of God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2006 at the New Beginnings Outreach Worship Center (Bishop Cynthia C. Turner, Pastor). Elder Cecil currently serves as the Minister of Music of the Grace Temple Baptist Church and the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, that were both under the anointed pastoral leadership of his father, Bishop Miquail M. Broadous until God called him home in February of 2017.

Elder Cecil is the Youth Pastor of the 88th Street Temple Church of God in Christ dynamically pastored by Superintendent Anthony L. Williams. He is the Vice President of the Youth Department of the California Southwest Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Bishop Hillrie Murphy, Jurisdictional Prelate. Among his national assignments, it is his honor to serve on the International level of the Church of God in Christ Music Department for the International Youth Choir (Evangelist Vandalyn Kennedy, Coordinator/Dr. Judith C. McAllister, President). Because of his passion and emphasis on global ministry, he has traveled the world extensively ministering in Word and song to the residents of Korea, Japan and France, to name a few alongside his Mentor, Professor Iris Stevenson McCullough. Elder Cecil has been blessed to sing for President Barak Obama and other national elected officials.

Above all, Elder Cecil’s greatest joy is delivering the Word of God as a Gospel Preacher. Elder Cecil is married to the lovely, Lady Kisha Neal Thompson and the father of one beautiful daughter, Kennedy Thompson.
